Looking for Rodents

Using a torch, start by examining dark areas, especially in your cupboards, wardrobes, behind appliances, and any other dark area as this is where you are most likely to find any rodents. You also need to look out for any signs showing where the rodents have travelled.

    Signs of rodents

The most common indicators that mice and rats are infesting your home include:

    1. Droppings
    2. Urine odour
    3. Gnawed holes
    4. Rub & gnaw marks
    5. Runways
    6. Nests
    7. Noises
    8. Pet behaviour

When conducting a thorough inspection, you will:

    1. Be able to identify the type of rodent (House Mouse, Norway Rat, or Roof Rat)
    2. Identify the seriousness of the problem
    3. Observe habits: Where they eat, travel, nest.
    4. Determine cause: This can be because of poor sanitation, available food, or water.
    5. Identify the best type of rodent control product to use, and where is best to place it for optimum results.
