Covid-19 Sanitisation

If you have a confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19 on your premises we can provide a specialised disinfection service within 24 hours of the case being reported to us. The safety of the public and our technicians is of the utmost importance to us which is why we follow the guidance set by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and make sure our risk assessed infection controls go beyond the minimum requirements. Our technicians will always wear full face respirators rather than the half face ones to ensure they are provided with full protection for their safety and others.

Upon arrival at your premises, our technicians will don the appropriate protective PPE equipment before fully assessing the site. Our team of technicians will then fully disinfect any rooms or areas where there has been a suspected or confirmed case of the Coronavirus infection, using a high level surface disinfectant and also including disinfection fogging (ULV), if needed, to disinfect larger surface areas. Ultra low volume (ULV) fogging involves using a cold fogging machine to transform liquid into droplets that are dispersed through the atmosphere.

The disinfection products we use kill 99.99% of a broad range of pathogens within seconds. The service utilises specialist micro emulsion technology which applies an active barrier that can persist and kill for up to 72 hours after the application. As long as the barrier is not wiped away this treatment will provide protection and reassurance between cleans. We not only provide treatment for confirmed cases but we also provide treatment to any business workplace or family home as part of a reopening protocol for business to protect the staff or piece of mind to protect any family members.

Fogging

Following an infestation of any pest in your premises, there is a remaining risk caused by their waste. Their waste carries harmful bacteria and pathogens, that if left untreated can cause serious problems for your home or business.

Here at Copley Pest Solutions UK we use a misting process. Misting with a ULV fogging machine is an effective way to disperse sanitising chemicals. Requiring minimal effort, misting quickly delivers antibacterial disinfectant to large surface areas, as well as to hard to reach corners and crevices, providing better coverage than the traditional method of spraying and wiping. The advantage of using a fogging machine to apply the disinfectant is to achieve a consistent application across surfaces and hard to reach areas that the normal cleaning regime may not be able to reach.

Fogging Facts

Benefits of using ULV Fogging:

  • Fogging is 99.99% more effective than the conventional method of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces by hand.

  • Fogging is quick. An office can be decontaminated within a matter of minutes rather than hours if done by hand.

  • Even if a site is heavily contaminated, the operator of the fogger is protected from Covid-19 by the fogging process itself.

  • When a room has been fully fogged, every surface from top to bottom and hard or soft furniture will have been fully treated and decontaminated from both the Covid-19 virus and any bacteria carried in by pests.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. Why Should I Choose Fogging?

    A. Using non corrosive disinfection fogging machines produce large volumes of fine mist which lands on both hard and soft surfaces killing 99.99% of know viruses without causing any harm. This method ensures that every area of your premises is reached and every surface is sanitised.

  • Q. Can fogging be done with people present?

    A. No! Due to the way the disinfectant is sprayed into the air, only the operator, with full PPE equipment and ventilation mask to prevent breathing in the chemicals, is allowed to be in the room.

  • Q. Does the process leave an odour?

    A. Before the fog settles there is an unpleasant odour, however once settled then the odour is less unpleasant but a chemical odour will still be present. We use a deodoriser to leave the area with a pleasant fragrance.

  • Q. After the procecure, when is it safe to enter the area?

    A. With good ventilation it should be safe to enter the premises within 30 minutes. If there is poor ventilation then this could take up to 3-4 hours. We would recommend that the procedure take place after close of business to avoid any disruption.

  • Q. Does fogging replace regular cleaning routines?

    A. No! A regular cleaning regime is essential for good hygiene purposes. Fogging is only used to disinfect an area to make it safe to use after contamination.

Bird Droppings (Guano)

Pigeon Guano Removal

One of the specialist cleaning services that plays a big part of our companies portfolio is the same removal and cleaning of pigeon and bird droppings (guano). Bird guano builds up wherever wild birds or feral pigeons have roosted or spent a vast time in one location.

The removal of guano requires our operatives to wear full PPE equipment including full face respirators to remove the droppings safely, particularly if this is found in an indoor confined space, such as an attic. Bird guano, dried and desiccated, poses a great risk to your health as harmful particles or spores can become airborne when this is disturbed, which can then be inhaled by members of the public if no safety precautions have been taken.

Our guano removal services

The areas that is to be cleaned is cordoned off and only one of our operatives is allowed to enter. Wearing full PPE equipment including full face respirators with a P3 cartridge filter our operatives will safely remove all of the guano. The guano is soaked using backpack spraying equipment and once fully soaked it is then removed by hand and placed in a sealed bag which is then safely removed from the site and disposed of within the current health and safety guidelines.

The area is then chemically cleaned using a range of biocidal disinfectant cleaners that treat and destroy the bacteria and pathogens at source, to help prevent any further re- infection.
